Question Two ram sticks don't work together, but each works fine on it's own ?

Hello everyone, I have an MSI gl63 8rc laptop, Core i7 8750H @ 2.2 GHz with Klevv 8GB RAM. Then I upgraded the ram with another 8GB Samsung about 6 months ago. Everything work well until a week ago my laptop does not display anything when turned on (not even BIOS).

After a while I realized that the problem was in the RAM stick, it turned out my laptop could work fine if I only used one ram stick. I've tested each stick, put it in a different socket and both RAMs work fine, but when I put both sticks in my laptop it doesn't show anything. CPU-Z also shows the same frequency. Already done the memory test on both RAM sticks and it doesn't show any problem.

What do you think the problem is ?

You're advised to source the same stick of ram, all the way down to the same brand, instead of mixing and matching sticks.

You might want to see if you can work with one stick of ram, then see if your laptop is pending any BIOS updates.

Thank you for the response. Yeah, I've bought a new ram with the same brand, both detected and can boot without problems. But the question is why in the past the two rams could work together but now they don't ?
