Hi there,

I'm going to be buying a pc soon and It'll be located in my room, the problem with that is the wireless connection in there is dreadful, I was wondering if theirs any way to have maybe to main routers? Ill be using my pc for gaming so I need a good reliable connection. I was thinking of buying an adapter that uses the houses cable system as a internet lead, but I read that you see a huge drop in speed. Any suggestions on how to get fast internet would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Depends what you mean "cable system". You can have things that use coax tv cable to lan cable to power line.

Are they slower than a direct connection to the main router, of course but slow is relative. Say you connection drops from 1G to 100m or even say 50m....it will still be faster than most home internet connections. Few people can get more than 10m on a sustained basis and most get far less than that
