Hi .

Today , I noticed two scratches on my HP 1730 LCD monitor (this is Windows
XP plug&play monitor) , that didn't appear when I bought the screen in
August 2nd :

these 2 scratches look like two vertical medium-sized lines ,
where the spectrum colors appear from within them .

What should I do ? it seems these are real scratches , and can't be
repaired .
I think the only thing I can do is to replace the monitor .

What do you suggest ?

Thanks in advance ,
Lior .

Before you go out and buy a new monitor, try this product..

Hi,

Power off the LCD Monitor.
Use your finger to touch the scratch softly. If you can feel the scratch is
not too deep, use a soft clean damp cloth to clean the scratch. After
cleaning, if the scratch is nearly invisable, buy a 3M LCD Monitor filter
(around $40) to protect your eyes and the LCD screen.

BTW, for some brand and model, the glass is replaceable. You can check that
with HP.

Hope it helps.
