I came across a suggestion that two NVMe PCI SSDs on the same MB is a potential problem. Can this be true? Why?

I am planning on two Samsung 970s (one 500GB, the other 1TB) for my new system.

For just gaming the 970evo is overkill. If you are going to be transferring large files from one drive to the other, for your Lightroom work, they make good sense, though. You might want to consider these instead, for a bit of savings.

Cool....thanks, as I am about ready to start buying. My LR catalog is fairly large (>24000) so I felt keeping all the data away from the W10 drive was a safer strategy, and of course real time external backup.

The Samsungs are $90 and $170 respectively, so the savings is ~$50. You do feel that the Adata's are comparable speed and reliability-wise as good as the Samsungs?

Read the Tom's review, that I linked, for those drives. I personally think they are a great alternative, given their price. I personally use a much cheaper Intel 660p, but my rig is mostly just a gaming rig, so I don't do a lot of file transfers. For my needs, it works perfectly.
