Hello,

I'm about to purchase a new xps 9000 with win 7 unlimitted which will come with its own nice monitor.
I also have an older delll optiplex 260 with two nice monitors running on win XP prof.
I would like to use the new system for my work ( day trading )mostly and the old system for web browsing , email etc. I would like to share all three monitors between the two systems.
What woiuld be the best option here? Should I spend the money on KVM switch ( gets expensive with three monitors? Perhaps try to network the two systems ?

Any help will be appreciated.

Using 3 monitors would mean more video cards on each of the computers.

If you stick with just the two, then a KVM switch of some type would work for you.

For every monitor you connect to a PC you need an port on the back of the PC for it. Unless you are just repeating the image, which it doesn't sound like that's what you want.
