Greetings wizards. I had a peace-of-mind question to ask about a Dell 8940 which I bought this week. It's i7 10700 with a 360W psu. When the time comes to go do chores I turn it off and hear the usual faint wheeze which it makes when it actually powers off. But a few times, it will follow that wheeze up with a second wheeze about 2 or 3 seconds later. Nothing else happens and when I turn the PC on later in the day there doesn't seem to be anything going wrong. But is there something I should fear there, with two wheezes?

With thanks,
Mark

Thanks Ralston, these be they. I should add one point first which may very much change your response. Technically both wheezes happen before or during shutdown, not after it; so the first occurs with the power light still showing next to the power-off button, then two or three seconds later comes the second wheeze along with the actual shutdown and light goes off.

The machine's about two weeks old now. No performance issues noticed so far.

i7 10700 2.90Ghz; package (if that matters) = Socket 1200 LGA
motherboard model = 0KV3RP
GPU = Nvidia GTX 1660Ti (6GB)
PSU = Dell L360EBM-00 (Dell P/N 2VD0G)
