So I got myself the TX3 evo to cool my FX 8120 processor. However I can't seem to get enough performance out of it, would it help if I added a second fan, should I replace the stock fan that comes from the tx3 ? I clocked my cpu to 4.0ghz, but I get around 60+ temps with prime95...

Solution
If the fan not spinning at good rpm then change the fan. But 92 mm fan is little bit difficult to find.
And sometimes even we apply a thick layer, small air bubbles forms in that and affects the temp. ....

I overclocked my AMD a8 6600k APU to 4.7 GHz from 3.9 GHz with this cooler and getting temp not more than 65-70°c at tested by prime95 at 100% load and 35-45 at ideal. Remove cooler and apply a thick layer of thermal paste that comes with it and install the cooler. Remember apply the thermal paste on cooler, not on CPU. ... It will work....:)

Well, right now on ''idle'' or just browsing on the net, I get about 45*C, which is fine and all. I already have a good layer of paste on the cooler so I don't think that would help me much. But I still would prefer to get under 60 with heavy load, as the 8120 max temp is rated at 61-62... So in this case would another fan improve performance? Maybe swap out the fan(s) completely?
