Question tx850m replacement

What do you think of choosing a Corsair HX 1200 to replace the corsair tx850m (which worked well for years).

Good or bad choice? Would another be better?

What will you be powering that PSU with? At face value, it's a good unit, if it's brand new but if you have access to other units, that would be an option we need to look at first before saying the HX1200 is a good buy for you.

i53570k, z77 extreme4, 16gb ddr3, gtx 980ti, asus xonar essence stx, liteon dvd rw, wd black 500gb sata. 2 case fans.

It would need to be used to power a new and more powerful system in the future of which the spec is unknown.

Want to overcompensate giving thought to putting a new build on it too. A personal quirk is that I would prefer the fan not to spin so hoping as it's under powered it might not spin. It all is quite overwhelming looking at all the different models of corsair PSU. Just want something as good as or better than the tx850m. Wonder if the build quality has got better or worse over the years.
