Tyan s2895 quad core

Will the Tyan S2895 accept any quad core processors ? eg phenom series

No. It's too old.

It only accepts socket 940 CPU to a maximum of two physical CPU. The Opteron single and dual core processors in the 1xx to 8xx series work in this socket, anything else requires a different socket. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_Opteron_microprocessors for more info
