Anyone have bios upgrades for a Tyan Tiger 100 S1832DL offering anything over
the latest on the Tyan site, ami bios 2.00b?

I'm looking for 48 bit LBA, booting from USB. ACPI isn't a big deal but
might be worth trying.

I know there are some tools out there to add these features to Award bioses,
but I'm not sure if anything exists for AMI.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks! I guess I had that one already (tyan's web site lists it as 2.00b
even though the file name is bx32200f and the bios itself displays as
V2.00.05 061320011100).

Apparently this one is limited to 32GB drive size. Esupport will provide a
driver that includes acpi support and drives up to 128/137GB but no bigger.
Not sure if there are any other features to their bios I would ever use. Was
hoping for booting from usb 1.1 but no such luck. I guess it will support P3
up to 1000mhz but so does the Tyan bios apparently. However it's too hard to
find any 1000mhz P3s, and it's not a huge boost over what I have now (p3-
800).

Thanks again for the pointer.

You're welcome

I am running the board with 2 P3 750s and it has been very reliable. I use a
promise raid card to get around the limitation but unfortunately I plan to
retire the machine and upgrade.

Good Luck with your machine.
