Okay, simple question, I have MSI B350 motherboard, need to update it so I can put it Ryzen 2600x, so, I never flashed BIOS before, it's my first time, so my questions are :

1. What type of USB I need NFTS or Fat 32?
2. Do I need to make USB bootable, if yes how to do it.

Thanks.

Solution
File system shouldn't matter. Fat32 may be more compatible, if that's even a chance.
USB doesn't need to be bootable. Just throw the bios file in there and enter the bios/flash utility then browse to the file.

Here is what you do....this is right from the manual.

download the latest BIOS file that matches your motherboard model from MSI
website. And then save the BIOS file into the USB flash drive.
Updating BIOS:
1. Press Del key to enter the BIOS Setup during POST.
2. Insert the USB flash drive that contains the update file into the computer.
3. Select the M-FLASH tab and click on Yes to reboot the system and enter the flash
mode.
4. Select a BIOS file to perform the BIOS update process.
5. After the flashing process is 100% completed, the system will reboot
automatically.
