This may seem like a silly question, but lets start here:
Just completed my new build-
ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
AMD 8370 FX
2x 4G Gskill 1866mHz
nVidia GTX 950
WD 1 TB HDD
Coolermaster Evo 212
Been tinkering with it for a bit, couldn't figure out why RAM was clocking at 722mhz/stick (because I had the voltage increased on CPU to factor of 216 instead of 200, skewing the RAM clock speed)
Anyway, after a few days and some playing around, I've noticed that my CPU seems to spike on each individual processor save a few, maybe 6 in total, when doing almost nothing. No lag or latency whatsoever, just hanging out, firefox, whatever, and ONLY 1 core will ramp up to 100% and then immediately drop back down.
Was curious as to if this was business as usual? It only seems to start happening about 3-5 minutes after I boot the computer.
I was thinking of going into a bit more detail about some overclocking details (disabling some power saving settings in the m5a99fx) if someone so desires to give me a hand. I started reading through a few different manuals and honestly I just start getting frightened! haha.
