typing problems

when i try to type in IE or quicken, **** kepp showing up and not stopping.
they will take over what i am trying to print. please help.

Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: TEXT SERVICES , and hit enter.
Then click on "Turn text services off or on". You need to turn-off text
services.
