u-disk not working.

i bought a USB 3.0 Flash Drives Metal USB Flash Drives 2TB Pen Drive Pendrive Flash Memory USB Stick U Disk Storage, thinking it was a usb drive, when i insert it my pc says it needs to be formatted, when i try, a message says that it is write protected. is it faulty, or do i need software to open it? i tried to update the drivers and found that they were up to date. what can i do to use this? or was it simply a waste of money? i got it through "WISH"

You got scammed. there is NO such thing usb pendrive that large, and, if it were, it would need to be an SSD with lots of electronics and a controller and such. I report those scammers on Amazon.

i know someone who got one off amazon, same result. ripoff.
