U28D590D 4K custom resolution

Have got myself a Samsung U28D590D 4K monitor. I wanted to do custom resolution using AMDs custom resolution settings in Crimson.

Every time I try to set it at 3840x1080 or 1920x540 for custom ultrawide 21:9 resolution I get the error that the display doesn't support this resolution.

Is there any way around this?

Not all devices can just show any resolution you want.

4106 is wider than the 3840 of a 4K screen, so no wonder you can't do that.

i meant 3840, the 4016 was a typo.
