U3277P WQU starts blinking dim and bright

When it does this do you see anything appear on screen? (Other than the dimming and brightness?), How old is the monitor?

The monitor is 2 months old. Nothing new appears on screen. The existing image remains intact just dim jumps between normal and dimmer at about 2 or so beats per second. Rebootint seems to work for a while and then iit happens again with at random sooner or later. I tried turning fiddling with Nvidea settings don't know if that did anything. Fuddked with windows night setting, don't know if that worked. It is so intermittant and random. Never had the problem with W7 from which I upgraded 1 month ago.
