He is a thief! Communicating to him will cause your items to disappear.
After you will kill him, you will find them inside the body :)

So, avoid dealing with him.

That's good to know. I'm just about to explore Vesper but will probably not
heed your advice ;-)
Want to get Dupre and Tseramed up a level before i head to Fire Isle and
should get enough experience here.

I would postpone the Fire Isle to just before the non-return point on the
Isle Of The Avatar. The reason is to try to play the original non-FoV U7 as
it was conceived :)

Same on Silver Seed. Postpone till the Balance Shrine (it's non-return,
though JPMorris found the backdoors to return from it).

What non-return point? I've frequently died in the IotA and always
managed to get back inside. Although I usually set up a Mark-Recall
link on the shore.
But if losing the ship/carpet is what you meant, you have the same
problem anyway with the Tetrahedron generators etc..

It's nice to be appreciated 😉

I haven't had any problems with him and haven't had to kill him. I did have
to kill the 2 gargoyles in the pub however. Did you tell Blorn you were a
friend of the gargoyles? That didn't seem like a good idea to me considering
what the others said about him before i met him so i said 'No'.

The final non-return point for that game is when you step into the
teleporter to go to the Black Gate Chamber. Supposedly anyway.
Funnily enough, IIRC when you get yourself killed in there, you wind up
back at Paws, having been delivered by the noble and kind Elizabeth and
Abraham... *grins*

Yes, but how could you be killed there? By whom? Batlin perhaps ...

Batlin can be killed in that room, if I am not mistaken.

Last time I went there (November, I think) it all went horribly wrong,
despite my attempts to train eveyone up for it.
All my followers were slain and the Avatar got beaten into a coma.
I think they managed to kill one of E or A before the Avatar himself
was 'turned to fishbait' as I believe Hook put it. It's not that hard.

Some years ago I did this deliberately, killing off E&A but leaving
Hook alive. Then I allowed Batlin to kill me, and woke up having
been delivered to Paws by (the late) Elizabeth and Abraham.
I believe this is on my website.

I've not done that. I guess it's possible.. I'll have to try it.
Armageddon works on him, because this Batlin is just a copy.
If you killed the original and brought him with you (you need to
have completed the FoV to be able to Death-Bolt Batlin), you'll see
this prov'd.

Batlin, Forskis, Hook, Elizabeth, Abraham, all out to murder the Avatar and
party. Which makes it SO ironic when they bring you back to Paws...

> Batlin can be killed in that room, if I am not mistaken.

I seem to recall hearing that. Dunno if it's true or not. It'd be a DtE
style bug if he could. 🙂

No, he started to steal from me after I extorted the Lap-Lem's amulet
from him.

I got no further interaction from him after that.

I know the names. They just never were any trouble unless Batlin let
go a kill spell by sheer luck.

Sleep Potion on Batlin and then a Kill spell works, if I am not
mistaken.

Just sit on chair in the bar if he is also in the same bar. In several
seconds, your Avatar will miss his/her armor.
