UAC settings not coming off

I am facing a problem in disabling UAC settings. I have tried it from control panel --> user acount control settings -->never notify....and then i apply them and restart the computer. But when its restarted i try to install a software due to which i disabled the settings to never notify, it again says that uac settings are on please turn them off to install the software. But when i go to control panel and see the uac settings they are still there "never notify".
What is the problem in windows 8. Is there any other place to disable the uac settings?

What software is it? There is no software that needs a disabled UAC for installation beside malware.

UAC is part of the windows security system and it's not a good idea to turn it off.

Hello Raxi,
You will fall in trouble if you disable User Account Control
btw run Steam in Admin Mode and then restart
It will work
There are other solutions first you try this
