Ubee Modem/Router USB Port

How do you enable the USB port on a Ubee DDW3611 modem/router. I am able to login with admin rights but nothing shows up to configure the USB port. The USB port has power to it but the only task it can do is charge a device. I would like to plug-in a USB external hard drive to use within my network.

Here are the specsOCSIS 3.0 certified
4 10/100/1000 RJ45 Ethernet ports
1 USB port
2 external antennas

You can't use the USB port to connect an external hard drive. It is unsupported. Says Ubee "USB: 1 USB 2.0 HOST Port (USB port is powered, but is not activated for subscriber use.)"
