Question Ubexpected Shutdown when installing win 8.1 or 10

Trying to bring an old Toshiba notebook back to live and want to upgrade to Win 10 or Win 8.1 should 10 not work. (Win 7 is gone due to all install tests)
It's a i3 model L670-14K.

When installing any of these 2 Win versions with a bootable USB stick made with the MS tool the PC shuts down unexpectedly.

It can happen at any moment during the install process and after many teste I once reached the level were it was supposed to reboot after install but remained off.
Restarting made the whole process restart like nothing happened in the first run...

Did some search and people are talking about overheating.. In my situation it is not as the PC is now runing for 3 hrs on the Windows first install screen.

While restarting, remove the usb stick and eventually set the HDD to the 1st boot priority in BIOS.

Could be a failing USB stick, HDD or RAM as well

It doesn't restart, shutdown during install, I can't reach level of reboot after install so can't remove stick before restart....

USB stick is fine, worked on other PC's
Swapped Harddisk same result.
Swapped mem modules from position (have no spares of that kind on hand) Can't do any check via BIOS.
