Hi, I'm installing my home with ubiquiti products.
One of the reasons is that it's a lot easier for me to monitor everything on one web-interface.
I also need a new switch for my office, wich mainly contains devices made for gaming (pc, ps4, xbox...).
I was looking up some switches and found the Netgear Nighthawk S8000, a mainly game oriented switch.
It has it's own web-interface with a lot of options.
I'd like for my home network to be connected through one web-interface (the ubiquiti one).
So on the other hand maybe the Ubiquiti UniFi US-8 is a better choice for my office because of this.
My question here is:

How wil the Ubiquiti UniFi US-8 compete against the Netgear Nighthawk S8000 in my office that's mainly for gaming?

And is losing the fact of having this switch on one web-interface with the other devices worth it(if I would chose the Netgear Nighthawk S8000)?

Thanks guys!

Almost anything that puts the word "gaming" on network equipment is a scam.

Most switches in general can run all ports at 1gbit up and 1gbit down all at the same time. How can you possibly get better than that. If you are exceeding a 1gbit port you have major problems in your network. This is especially true if you are really playing games that use no bandwidth.

You could be coping files form a different computer to a nas on your network and it would have no impact on your machine. The bottleneck is still the internet connection.

So I should just stick with everything on one web-interface and go with the unifi switch.
Since there is no real difference in performance between the two switches, right?
