Hi, I bought a new PC recently And purchased Watch dogs 2 from epic games after installing it, I launched it through Ubisoft connect launcher and it worked well, then after about 15 min. It crashes and force close to windows without any messages appearing or any error. I noticed that this happens with Ubisoft games only as any game other than Ubisoft games worked well without crashing.

Troubleshooting
  • I tried reinstalling the game,
  • reinstalled windows,
  • updated all my drivers,
  • checked for windows updates,
  • changed settings of Ubisoft connect like closing the in game overlays and the cloud save,
  • checked for bad sectors of the drive.

I almost done everything I could make but nothing changes the problem is the same as it is and I can't detect what the problem is.

My PC Specs.
Ryzen 5 7600x
Viper Venom 2x8 DDr5
MSI A620 PRO M-E
GIGABYTE GTX 1080 TI
Windows 10 pro

Man, that sounds frustrating. You’ve already tried a ton of stuff, so props for that. Since it’s only happening with Ubisoft games, it’s probably something specific to how their games interact with your system.

A couple of things you might still want to try:

1. Run Ubisoft Connect as Admin: Right-click on the Ubisoft Connect shortcut and select “Run as administrator.” Sometimes this can help with weird crashes.

2. Check for Conflicts: See if you’ve got any background software running that could be messing with Ubisoft games, like overlays from other programs (Discord, GeForce Experience, etc.). Sometimes these can cause issues, even if they work fine with other games.

3. Page File Settings: Check your virtual memory (page file) settings in Windows. Sometimes adjusting this can help with stability in games, especially if they’re memory-intensive.

4. Event Viewer: Check the Windows Event Viewer right after the crash (under Windows Logs > Application) to see if there’s any specific error related to Ubisoft Connect or Watch Dogs 2. It might give you a clue about what’s going wrong.

Hopefully, one of these tips helps
