This is in 10 minutes of the Ublock Origin logger results for the Youtube homepage , it had started from 0.
just running Ublock Origin on YT page in Firefox increases CPU usage by 7% or so.

Not sure i want to sign up to report it, I find I often get errors before others do... so i could just wait for more results to show up in searches- https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/issues

Still not sure what its doing?

It happens on Chrome, Firefox & Edge. I don't know how long for as I only noticed it yesterday. Having over 795 blocked items caught my attention. And it was growing while I watched it. That didn't seem normal.

2 constants:
  1. UBlock Origin
  2. Youtube
It could be the website since it doesn't happen on any other page I visit.

Its not just my PC, an ex mod from here also noticed it last night.

That's because a lot of youtube videos are actually paid ads, so they're blocked. There are also a lot of duplicates on the page. You would have to check your filter lists to see what sources are identified as advertisers; perhaps Fanboy's Annoyances or Fanboy's Notifications? And these paid ad videos are constantly being added which is why the count constantly increases. It sounds like both youtube and ublock are behaving totally normally for them. Adblock behaves the same way.
