I have Gnome Ubuntu and regular Ubuntu installed on my computers, and the internet on them doesn't work until I go to routerlogin.net, which is used to log in to my Netgear router. After going to that website, everything works. Is there any way to get it to work without going to that site?
Thanks!
p.s. it works just fine on Windows.

Solution
I found this information.
https://codeyarns.com/2017/02/04/how-to-make-intel-wireless-ac-3165-work-in-ubuntu/
and how to upgrade HWE stacks
https://codeyarns.com/2017/05/19/the-hwe-stack-for-ubuntu-lts/
I will assume your using a wired connection correct ?
open a terminal window and try ping 8.8.8.8 does it work (before trying to log into router ?)
does you router have permission to lock out network devices (and possibly after you connect to the router your mac address is recognized properly.. ?)

I tried to ping 8.8.8.8, and it does work. But, after I ping 8.8.8.8, I have to restart the WiFi adapter for the routerlogin.net trick to work. I don't have the router set up to block any mac addresses.

If I understand what you're saying, my laptop has the Intel 3165NGW wireless adapter. I'll try installing the firmware.

Edit: That didn't work.

That may have worked. I'll see for a day, and if it's still working, I'll select this as the best answer.
Edit: It worked. If anyone sees this, also install the newest firmware.
