Morning all,
I needed a third monitor so I installed a second gpu. I checked to ensure the drivers I had been using were compatable, installed the second card, set up desktop using nvidia-settings and rebooted. After reboot all three screens are active and in the desired configuration.
HOWEVER, now after logging in I get a quick configuration error message, loss of signal, and then am returned to the log in screen. I followed some previous threads here and elsewhere where people had similar issues, but nothing has worked so far (chmod .Xauthority commands, driver autoinstall, etc.) I have command line access.
Not sure where to go from here. I am running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, the original card is a Quadro 2000, second card is a Quadro K620, Nvidia driver in use was 375 proprietary.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
