I installed an ssd, and noticed that the pc restarted right after power on. but then it seemed ok, and then suddenly restarted again in a similar way after being on for hours. i followed an advice on the net, which resulted in cmos checksum error msg, and the backup bios was loaded. now grub starts, but ubuntu halts after loading the ramdisk. i cant boot from dvd, the logo appears, but thats it, stops. please dont tell me i ruined my mobo 
i thought it might be wrong settings in cmos, but loading defaults dont help..... please help me on this, l'm desperate... its a GA P55A UD4, gigabyte graphics card, four 2gb ddr3 ram... op system is kxstudio.
