Hi all

I have an ASUS P7P55 LX motherboard, currently running with one stick of 4gb and two sticks of 2gb DIMM ram.

I want to increase to the maximum ram of 16gb, but can only find UDIMM ram.

Will I be able to use the existing 4gb DIMM stick with new UDIMM sticks, or do I need to replace the whole lot?

Cheers

It's the same thing.
UDIMM means it is meant for desktops (unregistered ram vs registered ram for servers).

For highest compatibility it's recommended to get 4 module kit (not individually purchased modules).

Thank you very much for this! I wasn't sure, as there is so much conflicting info online. I'll crack on and buy a new set.
