Uefi bios (asus m5a97 le r2.0): usb not detected

So I'm doing a new build and I can start the bios up and whatnot, but I'm
Trying to boot windows 7 from a flash drive and the bios won't recognize the flash drive or any usb device of any kind, I don't think the ports themselves are broken because a light does blink when I plug in a usb device, like a keyboard. (I'm using a ps/2 keyboard for set up) please help. 🙁

Use Rufus for making a bootable USB drive. Connect the drive to an USB 2.0 port.
