Hi,
I have a problem with my new pc built and i need some help.
I installed windows 8.1 x64 a week ago in a new pc.
Specs are:
i7 5820k cpu,
msi x99a mpower motherboard,
4 x 4gb ddr4 kingston predator 2400mhz,
samsung sm951 256gb m.2 pci-e achi ssd,
corsair neuton gtx 240gb sata 3 ssd,
sapphire vapor x r9 290x 4gb uefi compatible
1kw antec platinum psu,
avermedia h753 tv card.

Ok, I installed windows in secured uefi mode. When everything is connected ,except the corsair ssd, windows works ok, all drivers and hardware are fine and i have no problems at all.
When i try to connect the second ssd as storage it starts but as soon i i make a restart windows hangs at loading.
I think the fault is somewhere in the secure keys department because when i mess around there the pc works again and when i restart again it then hangs again no matter what i change in bios.
Sometimes i change 1 thing and it works until it restarts ,which result in fail, and then i change it back and it works again :)
Some photos of the bios:

What do you think is causing this?
Thanks in advance

Solution
Does the problem only happen when the secondary SSD is installed? If so, your boot order may be messed up and it is trying to boot to that SSD rather than your m.2 drive where your OS is actually located.

Thanks for the reply xcrossroadsx,
The problem is only there when i connect the second ssd yes. There's no windows in the other ssd how can it possibly try to boot from there? In any case the boot order i have in bios is only 'uefi hard disk' and everything else is disabled.
Let me try and see if i can draw some pictures of the bios.
An example, it was hanging in loading this morning and i've changed boot mode select from uefi to 'uefi+legacy' and it started. I am pretty sure when it hangs again and change this back it will start again :)
I have updated with photos of the bios

Ok for someone that has the same problem as me i think i resolved it but i cant say i understand why :)
I've changed 2 things in the bios, The one is that i've set in the boot order the second ssd as boot number 2 which normally doesnt mean anything.
And the second i installed an msi utility called msi fast boot. I've noticed that in the bios there was mention of 2 fast boot options, the msi one and a normal fast boot. When someone enables the msi one the normal fast boot vanishes and its only shown when you disable msi fast boot.
So probably because msi fast boot was enabled but not installed in windows that was whats causing the hangs.
Ok then tnx again xcrossroadsx for your effort.
