This is my first oc project and I'm banging my head. I have been working on this thing all day.

my system:

Processor: PDC E5300

Mobo: Gigabyte GA G31M-ES2L Rev.2

Memory: 4 Gigs OCZ 800Mhz

PSU: BFG Tech 550w

Heatsink: Gigabyte G Power Lite

So here's the deal. I can hit 3.33Mhz on stock voltage. anything over that and prime 95 reports a fatal error within minutes. so i up the voltage to the cpu from 1.275 to 1.3v and i still get the fatal error. The thing is im not sure if the volage is going up. In my bios its reporting 1.3 but in cpu z and HW monitor its reporting between 1.07 and 1.25. I thought this was caused by V drop V droop so I juiced it a little more to 1.375 to see what CPU Z and HW monitor reported and it was unchanged. Still reporting between 1.07 and 1.25. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Update: so I installed easytune 5 and used that for my O.C. Now all my voltages read correct in CPU Z. I can only use Easytune to increase my FSB. If I do it in the BIOS I cannot get windows to boot. Must be something to do with the BIOS version. It seems like the CPU doesnt get the voltages I set them to in bios. So if I change the FSB in the BIOS I cant get enough voltage to the CPU to boot. but if I set the FSB in easytune all is good. I am guessing this is beacause my machine boots at typical FSB and after booting and loading easytune my voltage to the cpu is increased allowing a higher FSB. I will deal with this until a new BIOS update comes out I guess. I submitted a qeustion to Gigabyte regarding this problem. I will let you know if I get a response. BTW i am running stable at 3.6Ghz 277 x 13 @ 1.33v. I could get more but thats all I wanted.....
