so i have a new motherboard and i want to know will i have to reinstall windows 7 ? if i do i may have to download a <removed by moderator> because i lost my windows 7 disk but i still have activation key so what do i do windows 7 proffesional ?

You do need to re-install. Fortunately the ISO is not something you need to pirate.

There is no need to download a pirated ISO of Windows 7 when Microsoft will provide them for free (as in no cost and no viruses/malware). Just go here and get what you need:

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it works, kind of.
You should reinstall, to ward off any possible issues.

If yours is an OEM key, it is licensed to your original motherboard. You may be able to convince MS to authorize that key with new hardware, but they are under no obligation to do so.


There is never a valid reason to download a pirated version.
