Question UK’s rationale for not ruling out working with Huawei

So the U.K. believes that because you cannot control the whole supply chain that Hauwei is not a unique threat and there would be little net risk averted by choosing not to work with them.

To me this is an overly simplistic argument. There is some unavoidable risk here but choosing not to work with Hauwei does mitigate some risk as they are an corporation many believe beholden to the Chinese government. They are a manufacturer and exert control and organization over the whole process of installing 5g and developing phones/tech. This just seems like common sense.

What do you guys think?
