To anyone in the UK that has used a company called ''Box.'' Has anyone ever had any issues with them lately? Ive used the company for years without any issues until about a month ago when I bought a PSU in the refurbished section. It was described as ''open box but new'' but when I received the item, it wasnt in the original packaging, just a single layer of ripped bubble wrap, there was no instruction manual,(no biggie) but it was also missing the 2 SATA power cables. So I contacted them and told them the problem and they said they would send out some replacement cables but they ended up just sending me a UK 3 pin plug cable so contacted them again and requested a refund and sent the item back. Ive had to do all the chasing and arranging, they offered me a £30 voucher but still havnt got my money back. So I contacted them again for them to say that it is with their returns department and after they've inspected it I'll get my refund. It's been a month now and the cheeky buggers have already listed the same unit in their refurbished section for re-sale and I still havnt got my money back!

On Newegg and some other sites, they state that open boxed goods are often things that get returned. The state of the goods is either brand new or somewhat used but in the process of return some things end up being missing. I actually bought an open box router and a refurbished wifi adapter (once for each of them listed) and decided to buy brand new from then on even if I have shell out a little more money or wait for the day to purchase. Reason being is that often times returned items happen to have an issue with said item and the people at the store can't figure out what's wrong with it, hence why they are listed for cheaper.
