What exactly is so wrong with a horny teen seeing some porn? If they are not having sex with themselves, they're out having sex with random people.

I love how some parents are outraged that it didn't pass. As if it's so audacious the nation won't accept this filtering bullshit just because some parents want to offload their duties onto the Internet.

These are the same parents who believe it's totally acceptable that others be inconvenienced by their kids (for example, being noisy in the cinema) just because they chose to procreate. Perhaps they imagine, if others must put up with it in real life, why not online?

These dumbass filtering things need to stop.

They say they care soooooooooo much but not enough to find out about the parental controls in Windows?

If a parent is worried about it, set up a free OpenDNS account. You can tell it to block or unblock whatever you want including porn. Did it at home and it works good.

Half the internet is porn. And half of many harddrives as well. We're pretty much stuck with porn. Best thing about internet porn. No more seedy video tapes and dvds lying around. Win!

regardless of the purity applications, I think it's not a good principle to censor the internet on a ISP level period. There are other programs that work really well for filtering porn out of the internet. Covenant Eyes is one of them. There's no reason to have other big business and government get involved in this.

The problem the UK has with free access to porn is that many parents don't want their 8 year-old kid watching people f**king.

The law should have been a way to opt-in to a porn-block system so a parent can simply tell their ISP "No Porn Please" for their home interwebs.

"Opt-in for porn" is BS. It puts YOU on a list for tracking WHO watches porn and what kind of porn.

Sounds like religion motivated the people who drafted that legislation.

Porn Vs. The World.

Once again the power of the Poontang wins. Once the world understands sex is human nature and not something to be shoved in a back closet and forgotten the better the world will be as a whole. Teach your kids what they need to know about sex or the porn industry will.
