I'm looking for a gaming PC that can run most modern games at high settings at a decent fps for as little money as possible. Including a wireless adapter, monitor, and OS. Maximum budget: $800-$900

Solution
Before you make a decision you should take a look at Tomshardware gaming CPU hierarchy chart and decide for yourself what to get. More cores doesn't mean more power and you'll need to heavily OC that 8350 to come even close to the i5 4590. Not trying to sound biased but I have built many AMD & Intel pcs in the last few years and AMD has been slacking on the gaming front. Now maybe for multitasking I'd go AMD but for pure gaming Intel it is.

Good luck with the build.

I have the same CPU/GPU in a mini itx hadron build. It's good enough for games like FC4/BF4 medium graphics @1080P but if you go for that R9 280 you'll be able to run games in the high settings and have the additional 1gb of vram that will help with higher res/increased AA. Also the build I posted above doesn't include the 50$ MIR which puts the price not much above the build you posted. And you don't need a aftermarket cooler for the i5 4590, if you do want it to stay cool buy some artic silver and use that, the temp should stay <60C under load. The only thing that you will need to do on my build is remove some off the HDD bays to fit that GPU but that's easy, only a few screws.

Don't get me wrong, the 750 ti is a good card but it can't keep up with most of today's tasks. It is like this generations HD 7770 GPU, entry level but is just about the same price as a 280 which is a 3GB card and will demolish a 750 ti in almost any comparison except power consumption.

You build will do great regardless of your GPU choice, not to be a dick but you should consider my build above or at least take the good elements from it :D
