SO. After trying every single fix on youtube for this game, i finally found the best way to boost performance without any coding or hack downloading.
I did this on my ATI (Sapphire) Radeon HD 5570. Usually i would get around 30-40 fps MAX and the game play would be super slow because Frostbite 3 compensates the lack of FPS with game speed.
So how is this done?
You will need Catalyst Control Center (or any equivalent tool that is provided for Nvidia or MSI).
You must create a sepperate profie for NFS rivals, in CCC its done this way::
1. Open CCC
2. Gaming> 3D application settings> New program> (go to C:\Origin Games\NFS rivals\ pick the .exe file for your taste (32 bit or 64 bit, or do both)
Then you must edit the following settings:
Anti-Aliasing filter: set it to Edge - Detect
Anti-Aliasing method: set it to Adaptive Multisampling
Anisotropic Filtering level: set it to 2x
Texture filtering quality: set it to Performance
Maximum Tessellation level:::::
-For lower end radeon's like my 5570 or lower,(5 series, 4 series, and 3 series) set it to 2x
-For mid range radeon's (6 and 7 series) use 4x or 6x
-For high end, use 32 or 64x.
-These can be played around with but NEVER SET IT TO OFF because then the game will not render properly, so play around and see what is best for you. I found that if you set lower tessellation level but higher in game graphics settings you get same performance as higher tessellation levels with lower in game settings.
If anyone can double check this with there game and report their findings this would help alot.
