Well, here is my quandary:
I have a brand new AMD AM2 5000 Black Edition that I plan on OC'ing to at least 3.0. I want to build a system around it with some newer hardware that has become available since this card's release.
The main thing I am having trouble understanding/deciding is what motherboard to use. I know I am stuck with 800 ram (I don't think this processor supports 1066) but as far as mobo's go I am stuck between a few options:
A) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128376
B) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128387
-The video card I am stuck between these two:
A) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102835
B) http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16814102810
I would like to get the 4870, at that price point it's pretty hard to resist..but is it worth it?
Basically I just want the most bang possible with this older processor.
ALSO: How much power will I need? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182160 Is this enough/too much? I really want to spend as little money possible on my PSU.
Thanks for any input
P.S. 4 gig g-skill 800 for memory, 320 gig sata drive, etc
