[SOLVED] Ultra DMA CRC Errors After Turning Off PC Suddenly

I had to give my desktop computer (Windows 10) a hard stop due to an exigency in my room, without giving it a shutdown as I normally do. I had some trouble while booting up but after checking disks and taking a bit of time it finally came on again.

I checked for Windows updates and installed them and then restarted, and this time it started without any problem although I felt that it took a few more seconds during bootup after the Win 10 logo display but I am not sure.

I then ran a HDDScan SMART report which shows everything as green except Ultra DMA CRC Errors giving it a value of 200 which is the worst. Everything seemed to be fine until having to suddenly turn off the computer, so I presume the cause could be that.

How do I fix this error, without having to replace anything given that at this time no computer parts are easily available at least for another few weeks(or longer)?

Solution
Just keep an eye on the numbers. UDMA CRC errors are detected and corrected, so they should not normally be a problem. They do not necessarily point to a fault with the HDD. In fact these errors are not uncommon. In fact my drive is reporting 1 such error today.

There used to be a time when responses used to come in within minutes with a solution or at the very least, suggestions.

Not that I mind a lack of answers at this time. But I do hope everyone is safe and healthy at this time, with their families. In the meantime let us await better times when we overcome the virus.

Here's what it shows:

The first 200 comes under "value" while the second is in the "worst" column.
