hi, my psu blew so installed an old one to get up and running again but it does not have 6 pin connectors for the gpu. so i changed the gpu for a gtx750 i had from a previous build but it fouls the sata ports which already have slim angled cables fitted. off to ebay and bought some tiny sata cables, Supermicro CBL-0488L but in my haste i did not check the specs. i don`t know if they are sata 1,2 or 3 or suitable at all. the wires are 30 awg ( thin) and have a very thin plasic sheath. the only info i can find is this.

"The Supermicro CBL-0488L enables SATA round straight-right angle connections for storage. This cable is compliant with T10 and SFF standard and is verified with Supermicro servers, AOC cards, and storage" from the supermicro site.

so can anyone tell me if these are ok for a desktop or should i look for alternative cables?
many thanks DW

tiny indeed i hope it helps you out too
You are good.

Originally, sata cables had variable quality and some performed better at sata 2 speeds than others.
Today, I think you can use any quality sata cables
In particular, supermicro being a server company would have top quality cables.

FWIW, I may look for some for one of my most compact ITX cases.
