can you see more on the 49 inch than the 43 inch in game?

Since both monitors have the same resolution (3840 x 1200); No. You'll see exactly the same amount of stuff.

You see, if you have two 1080p monitors, but one is 21" and another is 42", you won't be seeing twice as much stuff on 42" since both are still using the same resolution. Only thing that you can see on 42" screen, is individual pixels, since these get drawn out once you upscale the screen size.

Oh, many games have FOV (Field Of View) setting that you can adjust to see more "stuff", without changing the resolution.
