No kidding. Most AMD E350 machines cost about $450, so with an ssd and a thin design maybe $550 or so. Not bad at all but quite capable, that's for sure.

I could get with it just fine when I install Linux. Plenty of room left over.

It doesn't work that way. You might want to read up on them and see what they look like "under the hood" to understand.
