I've heard from almost every person that has owned the XL2370 that it has white areas near the side because of backlight bleeding problems.

I haven't heard much about the Dell though, it is an IPS which is superior, it doesn't say whether or not on the Dell website that that monitor is an e-IPS or not, but I would think that for that is price point it probably is, I don't know for sure though. I have heard that for the same price the LG W2486L is much better.
