Question ULTRAWIDE: 1440p 100hz or 1080p 144hz

Hi,

I got a gtx 1080ti recently so it'd be nice to move away from my 60hz 1080p monitor.

currently deciding between the
Acer ED347CKR bmidphzx 34" - https/bit.ly/2ttT9UV -

or the LG 34UC79G-B 34" 21:9 UltraWide IPS Curved- bit.ly/2GIGswX

The acer monitor is an extra 200NZD, but it does have a have 1440p.

I usually sit on my ass watching anime and I don't often play games often, so I'm into high-quality resolution, but is it worth the extra 200NZD? When I do play games, I usually play GTA 5, just cause 3 and 4 and jump force (will).

With a monitor of that size a higher resolution might be nice, and there really isn't a massive difference between 100hz and 144hz (both will still feel much smoother than 60hz).

Games will be harder to run at your target frame rate at 1440p.

There isn't any real "best choice" here, its up to your preferences and if its worth the money or not.
