Ultrawide 21:9 or Regular?

I've been searching for a good 60Hz IPS monitor for gaming on my R9 290X for a while now and I've came to some conclusions but no solid answers. I REALLY like the look of this LG 25UM65-P Ultrawide with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a resolution of 2560x1080, but what I'm wondering is if it's worth the hassle of trying to get all games setup in 21:9 or if it would be better just getting a plain old 1920x1080. A 2560x1440 monitor would be ideal but no 1440p monitors are in my price range of under £200 (I'm also not sure how well my 290X would handle it).

Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

most new AAA games support 21:9, but not all of the new games do. for example, I don't know if you will be playing indie titles on 21:9.
21:9 is awesome. its immersive, it gives you a lot more screen real-estate, and the one you are looking at has a very nice IPS panel.
regular 1080p wont have the good stuff that 21:9 gives, but will improve compatibility, and will generally be cheaper.

Do you think something like this would work? http://www.flawlesswidescreen.org/. If i was to play indie games on a 21:9 what would it look like (if i didn't support 2560x1080)

Edit - Never mind about the flawless widescreen thing, I just scrolled down and saw the supported games.
