Question Ultrawide dark patch / shadow in top middle

Hi all,

Unboxed the G34WQC today and when I was checking for dead pixels I noticed a dark patch / shadow on the top / middle part of the screen.
Is this something “bad”, or is this par for the course of a budget-ish curved VA panel?

I have a Hitachi TV that looks something like that if it were displaying a white screen....but while watching TV or playing games it's not noticeable at all.

If you don't notice it while you are actually using it....then I wouldn't be all that concerned. Although if you do....I'd probably consider returning it.

Unfortunately, I did notice it when playing a game – noticed the “shadow” going across the sky :/

If it shouldn’t be like this I’d sooner return it, but if I’m liable to run into this with an exchange / return then I’d rather skip the RMA fun…
