Ultrawide with gtx1080

I was wondering if I could run 60+ in ultrawide 21:9 100hz With gtx strix 1080? Should i go ultrawide(x34 predator) or 4k which one give better fps?

well I did not found 24:9 monitors..may be you mean 21:9
you can get 60+ FPS on ultrawide (1080p)
I doubt for 60+ FPS on 4K..you'll get 40-50 FPS on 4k with high/ultra settings

Sry its ultrawide 21:9 34410x1440p . it is x34 Predactor. Do you think gtx 1080 can run 60fps+ with gsyn on + overclock to 100hz?

3440x1440 will give you more fps than 4k. I would go for that. Will be able to run 60+fps, maybe not max settings on everything, but still very good.

Yes it will run it GREAT! I have the asus rog pg348q which is the exact same monitor as the x34 acer and i ran bf1 all day yesterday with sli disabled only using 1 gtx 1080 and was getting a consistent 100fps with 88fps being lowest. This was with max settings. Of course games will vary for instance in division (which is a shitty optimized game) i get like 60-70 fps. So yes a single gtx 1080 will be fine

I will build asus strix gtx 1080 with x34 Thank you. Btw should i go go normal strix or o8g strix? Should i overclock myself to strix1080 .? Or go with overclock verson

Save the $ and get the regular strix. You can overclock it yourself to the the speeds of the OC mode. The only difference between the 2 is one is clocked higher out of the box. Personally on my strix i set the memory clock to +500 and the core clock to +125 using msi afterburner and the card runs great.
