I recently rebuilt my motherboard added an M2 SSD to the motherboard, my windows 10 pro is installed on the M2 on the Z170X gaming seven motherboard. It’s installed into the slot where I should have access to all the SATA cables. I can see three of the four SSDs on windows. I can see my two DVD ROM drives. However, disk management and windows don’t show the fourth SSD, the hard disk Sentinel and device manager both show the fourth SSD

This is my last hurdle and was been a long set up process to my new computer. Hoping to get the fourth SSD hooked up to the other three to form a parity jbod. Thoughts?

Which m.2 slot(s) are you using? Some SATA ports are disabled when m.2 devices are used. See page 32.

I'm using the M2H_32D slot. I called Gigabyte and they said that with that slot I'd get the most power out of that SSD and that I'd also have access to all SATA ports. I've moved the SSD inquestion around, swapping it with ports used by the DVD/ROM drives. The DVD/ROM drives always appear in my PC and Disk Management, but I cannot get the 4th SSD to appear in either....It only appears in Device manager, Hard Disk sentinel and also Windows RST as shown in the image below

Yes, but I can move the trouble SSD to another SATA PORT and the issue remains. Gigabyte said that since the 970 EVO is a PCI-E x4, that I should have full access to all SATA ports though....
