I have a wired home network. Modem: Arris Surfboard. Wireless router: ASUS RT-AC68W. Unmanned switch: TP LINK. Patch panel: Intellinet 12 port, UTP. ISP: Mediacom.

We recently moved to a new home and the ISP came out to hook up the internet connection. The wireless signal is fine and I can connect to the internet via both the 2.4 and 5 Ghz. However, I cannont connect to any of the wired connections unless that wired connection is vial the wireless router. If I plug my laptop, Roku, or PS4 into the wall jacks it cannot connect. The laptop indicated there is an unknown network and no internet connection. The Roku indicates it cannot connect to my local network. The PS4 indicates it cannot find a DNS. I did install the patch panel myself and everything looks fine connection-wise. There were a couple keystones I ended up replacing due to there being a couple loose wires. I dont doubt the problem could very well be poorly terminated cables. However, it just seems odd that it would be every connection except the one the wireless router is plugged into. Looking for any advice. Thank you

That's correct. I forgot to add that wired connections work only if plugged into one of the 4 the LAN ports. Seems like it's a router problem. However when I connect any device directly to the WAN port on the modem they do the same thing and cannot locate or connect to the network and access the Internet.

Hmm. that is really weird.
If the router was reset you many need to reset it or reconfigure all the pc's networks setting to match.
A reset router would default to dynamic IP's vs static Ips for example.

have you tried re-running the network setup wizard?

I did. Things work now but what I had to do is run a patch cable from the modem WAN to the router WAN then run a patch cable from the router LAN port to the unmanaged switch panel. Dumb oversight on my part.
