Hello!

About over a year ago I've installed Linux on my old laptop but I haven't used it since then, as I've built a new PC and didn't need the laptop at that time.
All I remember is that I've waited to boot Linux, checked quickly to see how the interface looks like and that was all.

I recently bought a 500GB SSD to upgrade the laptop, so I can use it again when I travel. The laptop is Toshiba Satellite C650-11X.

The problem I have is that when I turn the laptop on I am immediately asked for a password.
Unfortunately, I have no idea what password I have set up back then. Every time I try to enter something I might think should work, an error says:'' Error status, Verify error!! Press Enter to Continue (attaching a screenshot, so you can see the exact error message).
Every time I try to type something familiar that I think I might've used as a password, the same error message appears and after the third wrong password the laptop shuts down.

I think I had a password before, when I was using Windows but it was asking for password after booting the Windows. In this case, however it prompts for a password right after I press the button to turn the laptop on.

I'd appreciate any help, so I can access the laptop again.

Unfortunately, we have a very specific site policy about any kind of assistance in bypassing passwords. That's not an implication that you're guilty of doing anything wrong, whatsoever, just a general site rule that we do not have leeway on.
