[SOLVED] unable to back up

for some reason or another the back up (Porsche external ) is not able to backup....i've had this external hooked up from day one and it has always worked...Can u help ?

Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in?
Is it making any unusual sounds?
can you tell that the drive is spinning, vibrating when its powered up.
